Maps

Today i will be talking on the maps of the game. The game has many different maps where you can play. Each map will have a different terrain and different tactics can be carried out to win the game.

The game has 3 different types of maps:
1) Hostage rescue maps, where the counter-terrorist team's objective is to free four non-player characters that are present near the terrorist base.
2) Bomb defusal maps, where the terrorist team must try to plant explosives at specific sites in the map and protect it for a set amount of time while the counter-terrorists attempt to defuse it. Counter-terrorists can purchase a kit to cut the bomb defusal time in half.
3) Assassination maps, in which one member of the counter-terrorist team becomes a VIP, and must be protected from assassination until he reaches an escape zone. This game mode is also present in Counter-Strike: Source, although rarely played.

There are also other unofficial prefixes maps such as AWP, surfing, XC, AIM, KZ.

As for Professional tournaments, they only involve bomb defusal maps. And such maps are de_dust2, de_nuke, de_train and de_inferno.

Gameplay!

I will start on this blog by talking about the overall gameplay of this game.

First of all the game can be played from 2 players all the way to 32 players with 16 on each team. This game is a first person shooter in which players choose to join the Counter-Terrorist or the Terrorist team. Each person then will choose a skin from 8 different skins on each side of the team. The rules of the game can be configured by the host of the game but by default the game will start with each person having $800, two sets of ammunition, a knife, and a pistol: a Heckler & Koch USP .45 Tactical for counter-terrorists, and a GLOCK 18 for terrorists.

When the game is start, there is a few seconds before the game begins where this is called the freeze time where players are unable to walk, shoot but they are able to buy their weapons. The team wins by when one team is eliminated, hostages successfully saved or the C4 bomb is successfully exploded depending on the map that is being played. When a player dies, they will become “ghosts” and they are unable to talk to live players, change their names but are able to able to watch the rest of the round from multiple selectable views.
